#BeingBlackandMuslim trended on Twitter, with Black Muslims in America sharing their personal stories of discrimination and calling out Muslim communities who ignore Black Muslim issues, even though they comprise a large percent of the Muslim American community.

With the American Muslim community facing discrimination under the Trump ban, it served as a reminder that Black Muslims not only fight against racism within Muslim communities and in society, but face religious intolerance as well.
