37 #WomenWithDegrees to remind you women are bosses in every field

It's inspiring to see women be role models for girls to look up to when we're told "You can't."

You know what’s funny? There are still people who believe women can’t excel, women can’t accomplish their dreams, and women can’t achieve as many degrees as men. The joke only gets funnier when you see them find out that women cannot only excel, women cannot only accomplish their dreams, but also women can achieve as many degrees as men and have been achieving more degrees than them. Data from the American Community Survey shows that since 2005, the percentage of U.S. women with a bachelor’s degree or higher went from 26% to 30.2% as they surpassed the men’s percentage.

It’s inspiring to see women be role models for girls to look up to when we’re told “You can’t.” That’s the main reason why I love seeing that #WomenWithDegrees is trending at the moment. These women, especially women of color and to be really specific black women, are proof to all of us that we can make it across that stage with a finished major (maybe with a minor too). They were in our spots once. They know how it feels to be discouraged.

Take the time to be inspired by 37 of the many women who are models of success.
