We all have that really annoying guy friend who keeps complaining about how women are cruel, “privileged” (hah!) and superficial. For all you guys out there who think this way, here’s a much-needed reality check for you.
1. Maybe we “friendzone” you, but you conveniently forget that you do it to us all the time, too.
And perhaps you do it even more than women. But we’re just not whiners like you, are we?
2. Yes, looks matter to many women, too. Get over it.
Who are you to complain when so many of you hold us to unattainable standards dictated by media stereotypes of beauty?
I just don’t understand why it’s so hard for you guys to accept that we’re only returning the favor. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
3. Do you honestly not have an inkling of how privileged you are? Seriously?
Either you’re clearly not as smart as you think you are (likely), or you simply enjoy playing dumb – both of which do nothing to impress me.
4. The Stud vs. Slut phenomenon
You’ll never preach modesty to your obnoxious, “sexually adventurous” guy friend, but you won’t waste a second before slut-shaming a female who does the same. Here’s an idea: why don’t you make up your mind about whether promiscuity is good or bad and stick to it?
Not that other people’s private lives is any of your business.
5. You are intimidated by smart, strong, independent women.
Why else would you come up with slurs like “Feminazi,” “Frigid Bitch” or even go to the extent of calling us lesbians if we don’t respond to your advances? In case you didn’t know, labeling us with brainless slurs or a type of sexual preference is not an insult to us, but to your intelligence.
But in case you’d still prefer to communicate with slurs, here’s one for you: fuckboy.
Welcome to the real world.
