Why is everyone freaking out about ‘The Princess of North Sudan?’

Seriously, everyone relax. What’s wrong with a little girl getting to live out her fantasy of being a princess?

Seriously, everyone relax. What’s wrong with a little girl getting to live out her fantasy of being a princess? The days of 99 cents store tiaras and cake-adorned castles are over; now, daddies can spoil their little princesses by trekking over to any piece of “unclaimed” land, sticking a flag in the ground, and claiming it as theirs.

Exactly like wearing poodle skirts or listening to records, it’s a wonderfully old-school practice; from the mouth of the King of North Sudan himself, “many others have done [this for] over hundreds of years, planted [their] flag, and claimed [a piece of land].” See? It’s been done forever, it’s not that big of a deal. Do we really want to soil tradition and carrying the torch of our forefathers for the sake of “political correctness?” Is that the world we live in? We’re going to deny ourselves a Disney film and a little girl her dream because we’re afraid of hurting people’s feelings?

It’s just a piece of land, anyway. Claiming land like that doesn’t have any sociopolitical implications or anything. Technically, no one owned it, so it was up for grabs.

Of course, all these Twitter and Tumblr SJWs felt the need to jump into the situation with their irrelevant opinions and point out that the first African Disney princess is going to be white and apparently that’s not okay? Typical feminazi bullshit. Disney executives gave African people a princess, her name was Tiana. Did we already forget about The Princess and the Frog? Sure, the first black Disney princess might have spent a good majority of the movie as a frog, but still. She was black, wasn’t she? What more do you want?

I’m personally appalled that everyone is trying to turn a heartwarming tale of a father’s love for his daughter into outrage against neocolonialism and head-shaking at the audacity of “white people.” This kind of singling out of a person’s race is straight up reverse racism, and I will not stand for it. Disney has my full support in making this little girl’s dream come true.

Okay, I can’t pretend to support this anymore, even if it’s satire. I sincerely hope The Princess of North Sudan tanks miserably and the “kingdom” is snatched away from that entitled-as-fuck Jeremiah Heaton. Asshole.
